The only Planet of Choice

I now want to discuss two more recent channeled books that I find sinister. They are "The Only Planet of Choice: Essential Briefings from Deep Space" (1993/4) and "The Keepers of the Garden: An Extraterrestrial Document" (1995), which I will discuss in the next section. Both are published by Gateway books and both are channeled by women. Phyllis Schlemmer is the trance-ceiver or medium of "The Only Planet of Choice" which came out in two different versions within the space of a year. The first one was edited and supplied with much commentary by Palden Jenkins and the second version is in the usual, and boring, question and answer format. (I'm wondering whether the first version was withdrawn because Palden might have revealed too much of the book's intentions?)

I heard Schlemmer in Glastonbury, in the Assembly Rooms in the autumn of 1995, and she spoke there of how she had been trained from childhood in the USA by her two psychic grandmothers who had Catholic-Irish/Italian/Jewish roots. She is more a traditional medium in her training than a New Age channeler and calls herself a trance-ceiver. Schlemmer has been channeling The 9, who she describes as a sort of council or board of directors, since 1974. To her they are like the Elohim of the Bible and are entities of pure energy who, in their own words, exist in a zone of cold and superconductivity. They head 24 advanced Interplanetary Civilizations that are each led by an Elder. The 24 Elders "sit at the throne of God". Schlemmer calls the universe "The Corporation", which I find mind-boggling.

According to John Keel there are legends of nine mysterious men. a son of Illuminati or secret society that was founded in India in the 3rd century AD and that still exists today. This Brotherhood with great occult powers supposedly rules the world.

Stuart Holroyd wrote of the group around Schlemmer and their activities in ''Prelude to Landing on Planet Earth" (see note 43) in 1977. The group was led by Andrija Pucharich. who had first been contacted by the ETs when he worked with the Pucharich was chosen as their ambassador and psychics were brought to him. Schlemmer, Pucharich and the rich British aristocrat John Whitmore. who financed The 9 to the Middle East and to Israel to avert a world war by psychic means. They traveled, meditated, claimed to have influenced the minds of world leaders and accoerding to The 9 they personally averted war and held the balance of the entire world in their hands.

Their main task however was to prepare humanity for mass landings on Earth by the 24 Intergalactic Civilizations in the near future. With this in mind John Whitmor approached Gene Roddenberry,  the creator of "Startrek", to commission him to write a screenplay to be broadcast on TV about the imminent landings. Roddenberry spent some time with Schlemmer and co, in their community but did not produce a play to their liking. He was not at all convinced that The 9 are benevolent.This was in spite of the fact that they flattered his ego outrageously, telling Roddenberry that in former lives he had been the god Jupiter, a son of Moses, as well as the fathe r of the Apostle Peter! Roddenberry was also told that he had been "overshadowed by The 9 to write ''Startrek'', the TV series, which after all has accustomed a whole generation to the idea of life in space.Nowhere does living Nature intrude into the virtual reality of that computerized space station.Gene Roddenberry himself thought that all talk of UFOs was so much bullshit ! (see note 44) 

The Council of 9 call Phyllis Schlemmer their "Physical transmitter'' or servo-machanism, much like some scientists now call human beings "biological information processors''.They had wanted to have her taken over completely by a computer, putting her into a suspended state, (this was revealed by Palden Jenkins in the first version of the book,but to her credit she objected as she felt she that she would have been in danger of losing her soul. (Is this the ultimate Stepford wife scenario?) Schlemmer has however, in spite of this, been physically manipulated and operated on,and she has had an implant put into her brain so that she would be able to translate the voiceless telepathy of The 9 and of their spokesperson Tom, who is one of the 24 Elders and heads the Atlantean Civilisation which is dedicated to science. "Tom" says that they have computers where their voice boxes would have been since they do not speak. Not a comforting thought. Nor is the one that the Atlanteans were supposedly the people of Atlantis, the ancient Civilization that destroyed itself through the misuse of magic and technology. Schlemmer said in Glastonbury that she had lost some of her memory thanks to the implant in her brain and that she often feels ill and drained. She also said that she would be willing to die for The 9! I thought however that she looked very good,self assured, and dynamic to be over 60 years old.

Michael Shallis, an electro-sensitive, writes in "The Electric Shock Book" (see note 45) that negative energies, coming from cold and unnatural realms (what was that the Council of 9 said about that they exist in a zone of cold and superconductivity?) are able to materialize in computers, which are after all the products of the patriarchal, alienated, linear, left brain. There are entities for who the electronic brain of the computer is the ideal medium for entering into this world and who feed off negative human emotions and unbalanced energies. To serve such entities might be why computers were created in the first case! Shallis thinks that there is a natural electric interaction between the physical and psychic realms, the manifestation of a subtle energy unknown to science, which modern electronics is a perversion of. Scientists, most of whom work for the military and for multinationals, are mostly unaware of the forces that they might be evoking and who their real task-Masters might be.

Our bodies were not born to live in hi-tech synthetic environments removed from Nature, our Mother, and we become sick in body and in mind. Many, especially women, are electro-sensitives and many people suffer from allergies and new illnesses such as ME and AIDS. Albert Budden writes in "Allergies and Aliens" (see note 46) that he thinks that the UFO phenomenon and encounters with ETs or Aliens, as in the numerous accounts of "abductions", is a contemporary collective hallucination induced by the radiation from artificial electromagnetic fields, such as underneath pylons and electric cables. Such fields are also created when the ionosphere, Earth's protective mantle or shield, is manipulated or damaged as a result of atmospheric thermonuclear tests (see my discussion about HAARP).

Supposed Extraterrestrials are now making more and more outrageous claims. "Tom", speaking for the Council of 9 and the 24 Elders, says that they had visited Earth in humanity's infancy and that it was their seed implanted in human mothers (who were they then I wonder?) that had generated the different races. This is except for the Black race which was begotten by the lowly Earth and her Elementals and Nature spirits. Schlemmer or Tom had also called Earth a bottleneck for souls and that although Earth is beautiful and seductive and potentially a paradise, it had fallen to materialism and had become a "density entrapment''. Earth has stopped or hindered the growth of the Cosmos and our destined evolution. Clearly to be of Earth is not a very good thing and Schlemmer says that the Black/African race is therefore "physical and sexual" and that this has led to Black people being held hostage and enslaved by the "more advanced races".

What Schlemmer says here is not just racist but also profoundly anti-body and anti-sexuality and this she shares with Mme Blavatsky, Alice Bailey and a number of other mediums and channelers who cannot reconcile their female sexual bodies with their ( patriarchal) spirituality. In most channeled material, terms such as "copulation" and "fornication" are used and sexual love is never seen as part of the sacred, or as an evolutionary energy, and long forgotten are the menstrual sexual lunar mysteries of the Goddess. There is also an implied denial of the fact that it was dark indigenous peoples who created ancient cultures and that Africa was our cradle and Mother. (see note 47)

The ETs, speaking through Schlemmer, claim that Cro-Magnon humans developed ca. 32,000 BC out of the seeded ones who had been infused with DN'A coding to evolve advanced civilizations. The experiment had gone wrong but Earth remains the only planet where there is free choice and free will and all souls must pass through here in their evolution. The ETs of the 24 civilizations will mass-land here in space ships to put things right. They will help us with technology and with their aid Earth will be saved from its present dense, dark, heavy state and the Universe will glow with a light that will seem blinding. The Council of 9 and the Elders seem to positively desire to come here in spite of what they say about Earth. Schlemmer also makes clear that the entities are the same as the Hierarchy of Secret Masters and that "God and Jesus" are after all Extraterrestrials! She heralds the invasion from space as the Second Coming. Those who control Earth also control the Universe, say The 9!

Schlemmer told us in Glastonbury in full seriousness that she had met up with two tall and blonde Atlanteans in the Sinai desert in Israel (where she seems to have lived long periods, and she sees the Jewish people as having a very special destiny) and they took her into their UFO and brought her to walk on the moon.

There are many UFOers who think that an Intergalactic police force is spying on us and others think that the US and UK governments have known of the ET presence ever since the 1940s and that they are in contact with the aliens who are nicknamed the "greys". There are persist­ent rumours that there is a top secret military base in Nevada where scientists are experimenting with UFOs and anti-gravitational devices in co-operation with aliens. It is a possibility that many sup­posed UFO sightings are in fact these new crafts being tested and that they may even somehow have caused some of the crop-circles to be formed. The UK military took an inordinate amount of interest in the crop-circle formations. This I know for a fact from my own experience in the early 90s. A conspiracy theory goes that the US government and military will simulate a mass-landing of alien crafts and will use the fear and panic that would ensue as an opportunity to set up a world government and seize total control at last.

The Sirius Mystery

New Agers are very keen on the Space-brothers-bringing-culture-to- Earth theory, and wax lyrical about white-skinned God-Kings, such as Quetzalcoatl of Mexico, as bearers of the arts of civilisation to backwards, stagnant, earth-bound dark peoples.

There is the strange thing that the Dogon people of Mali are thought to have always known of the Sirius binary system and of the dark companion star that circles Sirius and  makes it wobble. This star, which is actually extremely bright and is a dwarf star of super-dense matter, was invisible to the naked eye and was only seen in Europe when very powerful telescopes were invented. It was first only very faintly seen through the then largest telescope in 1862. So how come that the Dogon knew of it?

"The Sirius Mystery" by Robert KG Temple (see note 48) an influential book written in the late 60s, discusses the religious thinking of the Dogon, who have a mythology centred around "the Nommo". These are amphibian/fishlike beings who came from planets in the Sirius system and brought the arts of civilisation to the Dogon in the mists of time. The Sumeriarns of Mesopotamia had, strangely enough, similar legends of fishlike beings, the Cannes, coming from the stars who taught them city-building, science, law and writing during the day and withdrew into the sea at night.

One of these beings was the Great Mother Goddess Tiamat. later called the great Leviathan or whale, who was murdered and dismembered by her own offspring Marduk. Robert Temple, who could not imagine that a people such as the Dogon could have developed their knowledge and philosophy and star-lore independently, wants to trace the teachings to Egypt. It is also possible that the Dogon people emigrated from Egypt. He writes that to the Egyptians Sirius was seen as the home of Isis and the dark companion star was her sister Nephtys, Goddess of the Underworld and an Egyptian Hecate or Hel. Sirius enters the dark Underworld of Nephtys for 70 days every year and is then invisible. When She rises again reborn, there were great celebrations and the helical rising of Sirius formed the basis for the entire Egyptian calendar and religion, and also coincided with the flooding of the Nile which brought fertility to the land. The Black Rites of Isis was the highest degree of the Egyptian mysteries and Osiris, associated with the star system Orion, was called "Lord of the Perfect Black". Notice the positive attitude to Blackness here.

The Dogon mythology however is tied in not only with astrology and star-lore but also with cruel ritual genital mutilation of women. Was this also taught by the space people, the Nommos?

Alice Walker discusses in her book "Possessing the Secret of Joy" (see note 49) how tribal male elders maintain a mythology that justifies and explains genital mutilation of women. The clitoris is described by the Dogon as a male organ that must be excised also from Mother Earth so that She may become passive, compliant and pleasing to god and man. From this one can see that the Dogon are thoroughly patriarchal. Strangely enough they speak however of "Nommo's placenta" and eggs and use female imagery while never mentioning the Mother Goddess. Their Creation myths were clearly rewritten in more recent times. Also they see the Earth as fallen and. as in the patriarchal Christian myth, a divine Nommo sacrifices himself to atone for its "sin".
