Notes
to the Introduction:
1. I worked on my book from when my oldest son died of
cancer in the summer of 1987 until 1992 when it was published by the Women's
Press in London. As I am now editing this essay I am having radiotherapy and was
operated on for breast cancer m April 1998. (Back)
2. I have done such workshops and talks at Oak Dragon and
Rainbow camps, at the Big Green Gatherings, and at international Goddess
gatherings in the USA. (Back)
3. I have a pamphlet put together from Alice Bailey's
writings called "The total challenge of humanity on earth: the Jewish
problem. A study for World Sewers" and produced in 1946 by the
Institute for Planetary Synthesis. Her 'solution' to "The Jewish
problem" is for Jewish people to assimilate into the dominant culture
wherever they live. In other words, when there is no longer a Jewish culture
there is no "Jewish problem"! (Back)
4. Diana
Luppi, in "ET101, The Cosmic Instruction
Journal for Planetary Evolution", calling herself (or named by the
Intergalactic Council as) Zoev Jho. (Harper S.F., USA, 1995). (Back)
5. Sandy Stevenson's talk was called "Time to go
Home". She is the author of "The Awakener" (Gateway Books,
Bath, 1997) which she claims was channeled to her. She was the organiser of the
Peace OM at Wembley Arena in August 1994. (Back)

Main
Notes:
1. The Women's Press. London 1992.
(Back)
2. There is an actual book by that name by Rebirther Phil Laut (Trinity
Publications, USA 1978). "Rebirthing in the New Age" by Leonard
Orr and Sondra Ray (Celestial Arts, Ca. 1977) tells the story of that fraudulent
movement by two of its founders. (Back)
3. Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake partly because her Voices were those of
female saints. There is a book of women mediums channeling female entities
called "Dreaming the Past, Dreaming the Future: a Herstory of the
Earth", edited by feminist witch Diane Stein (the Crossing Press, Ca.
1991). Even in this book there is an overemphasis on light and on leaving
Earth to travel into space and other planets. The Goddess is all light and Her
dark self still excluded or feared. (Back)
4. "The Vision of
Ramala: a School of Earth Teaching the Truth of the
Heavens" (C.W. Daniel. UK. 1991). (Back)
5. Malidoma Patrice Some, "Water and the Spirit"
(Arkana,
1995). (Back)
6. From the Guardian newspaper at the time of the Nuclear tests under the
Mururoa atoll in the Pacific. Winter 1995/6. John Keel wrote in 1971 that
scientists were planting atomic bombs in known earthquake faults on the floor of
the Pacific just to see what happens! (Back)
7. "Cults of Unreason" by Dr. Christopher Evans (Panther
Books Ltd., UK. 1974). (Back)
8. John Keel "Our Haunted Planet" (Neville Spearman, 1971), "Operation
Trojan Horse" (1975) and "Strange Creatures from Time and
Space". John Michell has also written widely about "Incredible
Phenomena". Also read Paul Deveraux's "Earth Lights
Revelation" (Blandford Press, Dorset 1989). (Back)
9. Serena
Roney-Dougal, author of "Where Science and Magic Meet" (Element
Books, 1992), has said that the West has acted as a psy-inhibitor for the rest
of the world and has made it that much more difficult for shamans to communicate
with the spirits, also amongst indigenous peoples. She thinks that our use of
iron, which the Faeries abhor and which interferes with Earth's Mystic Powers,
has cut us off for a very long time from the spirit realms. We discuss women's
ancient shamanism and menstrual lunar mysteries in "The Great Cosmic
Mother: Rediscovering the Religion of the Earth" (Monica Sjoo and
Barbara Mor, Harper S.F., 1987/91). It is interesting that in the UN's
prayer-room in the USA the "altar" is a block of iron ore and the
spirit is symbolised by a (phallic) shaft of light striking it. I cannot think
of more patriarchal imagery than this. Iron democratised warfare and weapons
production with which the Iron Age patriarchal men took over power. (Back)
10. "Power of Raven, Wisdom of Serpent: Celtic women's
Spirituality" by Noragh Jones (Floris Books, Edinburgh, 1994). (Back)

15. Published by Zed Books. Vandana Shiva also wrote "Ecofeminism"
together with German thinker Maria Mies (Zed Books 1993) as well as "Monocultures of the Mind' (Zed
Books, 1993). (Back)
16. Apparently Sir Mortimer Wheeler wrote once that Archeology is a
vendetta and looking at the way feminist
archaeologist Marija Gimbutas' work (see note 27) on the Goddess Neolithic
cultures is being slandered and
abused this seems to be true. Male historians and archaeologists, who are mainly
white and privileged want
history to prove that patriarchy has always existed. Until recently most of them
also advocated Aryan supremacy theories. (Back)
17. Janet McCloud was an initiator of Women of All Red Nations,
or WARN, within the American Indian
Movement (AIM) in 1979 and the Northwest Indian Women's Circle. In 1987, after a
successful women's
gathering, she helped form The Indigenous Women's Network which also
publishes a journal by the name of "Indigenous Woman". (Back)

writes on page 118 that the coming or new race is forming primarily in those
lands where the Fifth or Caucasian/Aryan race is to be found. See also "Discipleship
For a New Age" (Lucis Press, 1944) and "The Externalisation of
the Hierarchy" (Lucis Press, 1957). Her life and work is discussed by
Sir John R. Sinclair in "The Alice Bailey Inheritance" (Turnstone
Press, UK). (Back)

Religion and Philosophy" (republished
by the Theosophical Society, Theosophy Go., Los Angeles, 1947). (Back)

UN and explains its workings in "Earth at Omega: Passage to
Planetization" (Brandey Press, USA, 1982) and in the
introduction he thanks the Masters DK (Alice Bailey) and Morya (Mme Blavatsky)!
He is honest enough to point out that the Third World countries that joined the
UN were originally met with hostility there. (Back)

the Emergence of the Western Guru" (Seeker,
UK, 1993). (Back)
39. David
Icke: "The Robots' Rebellion: the Story of the Spiritual
Renaissance" (Gateway Books, 1994). It is strange that New Age journals such as "Kindred
Spirit" who normally will not publish anything that they deem "negative" (political) will publish Icke's material on
conspiracies. The book is also considered anti-Semitic. In his next book "...And the Truth Shall Set You
Free" (Bridge of Love, 1995) Icke does
mention Alice Bailey and the Theosophists, but only in passing. (Back)
